Heavenly Scents

Susan, who lives a little more than an hour away from me, blogged about our recent glorious weather. We're getting more of the same tonight. As I headed off to bed, I was shutting the front door, and got a whiff of the great outdoors. Fresh, cool summer air with hints of straw harvest and our pond. Mmmmmm.....

Like one of the kids said, it smells more like September than August. Smells good! I still worry about my tomatoes...

Your tomatoes? I planted my corn reeeaally late and I'm worried it won't finish up.

I'm not complaining too much, though. It feels sooo great to have the house open and dry and cool.

I can always feel the light change in August -makes me think of chrysanthemums blooming.

This has been a wonderful August weather wise. I love having the house open and waking up in the morning being able to hear the birds chirping outside my window.

However, this unseasonable weather has made it to where the pool is not as tempting as it was. We really only had about 2 weeks of good hot swimming weather but this weather, well it could stay like this all the time. I love being able to wear jeans and a t shirt, would wear them all year if I could.
